Why use a kitchen designer?

I can’t stress enough the importance of using a kitchen designer!

Firstly – you will be spending a WHOLE lot of time with your kitchen designer so make sure the rapport is there at the start!

Kitchen Designers are generally trained professionals that understand the construction process. They know the systems of a house and can plan a practical space to suit you and your family.

Kitchen Designers are knowledgeable on the latest appliances, materials, finishes & hardware & ensure ongoing development within the industry, often to maintain certification. This ensures that not only are they up to date with the latest trends, but also know important codes and regulations.

Great relationships with contractors are critical. Some of these relationships have been built up over years of collaborating together on projects. Super important to be able to rely on a quality team.

A good Kitchen Designer will guide you through the process, listening, offering valuable opinions and making sure that the products you’re getting are the best for your investment. If you’re working to a budget (and who isn’t?) your Kitchen Designer will keep it all in check for you.

My advice is that you bring in a pro because unless you have a very strong design sense and can produce technical drawings, you are going to feel incredibly overwhelmed and potentially make extremely expensive errors.
